Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan studi komparatif mengenai penggunaan teknologi informasi dalam manajemen rantai pasok di sektor industri manufaktur. Penggunaan teknologi informasi menjadi semakin penting seiring dengan meningkatnya kompleksitas rantai pasok yang melibatkan berbagai pihak, mulai dari pemasok bahan baku hingga distribusi produk jadi. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi seperti Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), sistem manajemen inventaris, dan teknologi pelacakan berbasis cloud, perusahaan dapat mempercepat aliran informasi, meningkatkan visibilitas rantai pasok, dan mengoptimalkan pengelolaan stok. Penelitian ini melibatkan analisis terhadap beberapa perusahaan manufaktur dengan skala berbeda, dari kecil hingga multinasional, untuk membandingkan sejauh mana teknologi informasi memengaruhi efisiensi operasional, kecepatan respon terhadap permintaan pasar, serta pengurangan biaya logistik. Hasil komparatif menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan yang lebih maju dalam penerapan teknologi informasi cenderung memiliki tingkat integrasi rantai pasok yang lebih baik, mengurangi kesalahan manusia, dan meningkatkan akurasi dalam pengambilan keputusan. Studi ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan utama dalam implementasi teknologi, seperti biaya awal yang tinggi dan kebutuhan akan pelatihan karyawan. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi bahwa meskipun terdapat tantangan, investasi dalam teknologi informasi memberikan manfaat signifikan yang dapat meningkatkan daya saing perusahaan dalam jangka panjang. The use of information technology is becoming increasingly important as the complexity of the supply chain increases involving various parties, from raw material suppliers to finished product distribution. By leveraging technologies such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), inventory management systems, and cloud-based tracking technology, companies can accelerate the flow of information, improve supply chain visibility, and optimize inventory management. This research involves analyzing several manufacturing companies of different scales, from small to multinational, to compare the extent to which information technology affects operational efficiency, speed of response to market demand, and reduction of logistics costs. Comparative results show that companies that are more advanced in the application of information technology tend to have a better level of supply chain integration, reduce human error, and improve accuracy in decision-making. The study also identified some key challenges in technology implementation, such as high initial costs and the need for employee training. These findings underscore that despite the challenges, investing in information technology provides significant benefits that can improve a company's competitiveness in the long run.
