Abstract

Kata Kunci : Curah Hujan, Produksi Tanaman, Karet, PTPN IV Kebun Rantauprapat ================================================================================================= Rubber plants (Hevea brasiliensis) are one of the leading plantation commodities that are widely cultivated in tropical areas, including Indonesia. This plant is known for producing latex, the main raw material in the natural rubber industry used for various products such as tires, gloves, and automotive components. The purpose of the study was to determine whether rubber production at PTPN IV Kebun Rantauprapat was maximized due to the influence of rainfall. The survey method that is appropriate for research on the effect of rainfall on rubber plant production is a survey method based on secondary and primary data. Secondary data can be obtained from historical records of latex production, rainfall, and the number of rainy days available at PTPN IV Regional 1 Kebun Rantauprapat. The results of the study showed that rainfall did not have a significant effect on latex production. The relationship between the two variables was relatively weak with an R value of 0.263, which only explained 6.9% of the variation in latex production, while 93.1% was influenced by other factors not included in the model. The results of the ANOVA test and the insignificant regression coefficient further strengthened this finding, indicating that variability in rainfall did not significantly contribute to changes in latex production.
