Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) memberikan peluang baru dalam bidang pendidikan, khususnya sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Android yang memanfaatkan teknologi AR untuk memvisualisasikan bentuk planet dalam tata surya secara lebih menarik dan realistis. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) dengan tahapan konsep, desain, pengumpulan materi, pembuatan, pengujian, dan distribusi. Aplikasi ini menggunakan marker-based tracking untuk menampilkan objek 3D planet ketika kamera smartphone mendeteksi marker tertentu. Hasil pengujian fungsionalitas menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi berjalan dengan baik pada perangkat Android, sementara uji kelayakan oleh ahli materi dan media memperoleh penilaian positif sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, aplikasi AR ini dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang bentuk dan karakteristik planet dalam tata surya. Kata Kunci : Augmented Reality, Media Pembelajaran, Planet, Android, MDLC ================================================================================================= The advancement of Augmented Reality (AR) technology offers new opportunities in education, particularly as an interactive learning medium. This study aims to develop an Android-based learning application utilizing AR technology to visualize the shapes of planets in the solar system in a more engaging and realistic manner. The development method employed is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), which includes stages such as concept design, material collection, development, testing, and distribution. The application uses marker-based tracking to display 3D planet objects when the smartphone camera detects a specific marker. Functional testing results indicate that the application runs smoothly on Android devices, while feasibility assessments by material and media experts yield positive feedback as an effective learning tool. Thus, this AR application can serve as an innovative solution to enhance students' understanding of the shapes and characteristics of planets in the solar system.
