Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik cair (POC) bonggol pisang dan air cucian beras terhadap pertumbuhan cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) di Desa Sosopan. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan yaitu kontrol (A0), air cucian beras (A1), POC bonggol pisang (A2), serta kombinasi air cucian beras dan POC bonggol pisang (A3), masing-masing dengan empat ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan lebar daun pada 1 hingga 4 MST (Minggu Setelah Tanam). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian air cucian beras dan POC bonggol pisang berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan cabai rawit dibandingkan kontrol. Perlakuan POC bonggol pisang secara tunggal memberikan hasil terbaik dengan rata-rata tinggi tanaman 27,5 cm dan jumlah daun 20,25 helai pada 4 MST. Perlakuan kombinasi air cucian beras dan POC bonggol pisang juga menunjukkan hasil yang cukup baik, dengan tinggi tanaman rata-rata 24,5 cm dan jumlah daun 20 helai, sedangkan perlakuan kontrol hanya menghasilkan rata-rata 17,5 cm tinggi tanaman dan 12,5 helai daun. Uji lanjut DMRT pada taraf 5% menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh perlakuan lebih signifikan pada fase awal pertumbuhan (1–2 MST). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa POC bonggol pisang merupakan perlakuan terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan vegetatif cabai rawit, dan dapat dijadikan alternatif pupuk organik ramah lingkungan untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia. Kata Kunci: Cabai Rawit, Pupuk Organik Cair, Bonggol Pisang, Air Cucian Beras ================================================================================================== This study aimed to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from banana stem tubers and rice washing water on the growth of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) in Sosopan Village. The study was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments: control (A0), rice washing water (A1), banana stem POC (A2), and a combination of rice washing water and banana stem POC (A3), each with four replications. Observed parameters included plant height, leaf number, and leaf width from 1 to 4 weeks after planting (WAP). The results showed that the application of rice washing water and banana stem POC significantly affected cayenne pepper growth compared to the control. The single treatment of banana stem POC produced the best results, with an average plant height of 27.5 cm and 20.25 leaves at 4 WAP. The combination of rice washing water and banana stem POC also showed quite good results, with an average plant height of 24.5 cm and 20 leaves, while the control treatment only produced an average plant height of 17.5 cm and 12.5 leaves. Further DMRT testing at the 5% level showed that the treatment effect was more significant in the early growth phase (1–2 weeks after planting). It can be concluded that banana stem POC is the best treatment for increasing the vegetative growth of cayenne pepper and can be used as an alternative environmentally friendly organic fertilizer to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers.
