Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) memungkinkan berbagai perangkat elektronik dikendalikan dan dimonitor secara otomatis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pendingin otomatis berbasis IoT menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 yang terhubung dengan modul komunikasi LoRa (SX1278). Sistem ini berfungsi untuk memantau suhu ruangan secara real-time menggunakan sensor DHT22 serta mengaktifkan kipas pendingin secara otomatis jika suhu melebihi ambang batas yang telah ditentukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan eksperimental. Sistem terdiri dari dua node, yaitu node pengirim dan node penerima. Node pengirim berfungsi untuk membaca data suhu dan kelembapan dari sensor DHT22, kemudian mengirimkannya ke node penerima melalui komunikasi LoRa. Node penerima menerima data tersebut dan menampilkannya pada LCD 16x2 serta mengontrol kipas pendingin melalui modul relay. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu bekerja dengan baik. Sensor DHT22 memiliki tingkat akurasi tinggi dengan selisih rata-rata pembacaan suhu sebesar 0,3°C. Kipas pendingin aktif secara otomatis ketika suhu mencapai 28°C dan berhenti saat suhu turun di bawah ambang batas. Jangkauan komunikasi LoRa mencapai ±30 meter di dalam ruangan dan ±50 meter di area terbuka dengan waktu respon 1–2 detik. Sistem ini dapat dioperasikan menggunakan daya baterai dengan durasi kerja node pengirim ±7 jam dan node penerima ±6 jam. Kesimpulannya, sistem pendingin otomatis berbasis IoT dengan ESP32 dan LoRa dapat bekerja secara efektif dalam mengontrol suhu ruangan, efisien dalam penggunaan daya, serta memiliki stabilitas komunikasi yang baik untuk diterapkan pada lingkungan nyata. Kata kunci: IoT, ESP32, LoRa SX1278, DHT22, Relay, Pendingin Otomatis ============================================== The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) technology enables electronic devices to be monitored and controlled automatically, increasing operational efficiency. This research aims to design and implement an IoT-based automatic cooling system using the ESP32 microcontroller integrated with the LoRa (SX1278) communication module. The system monitors room temperature in real time using a DHT22 sensor and automatically activates the cooling fan when the temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with an experimental approach. The system consists of two nodes: a transmitter node and a receiver node. The transmitter node reads temperature and humidity data from the DHT22 sensor and transmits it to the receiver node via LoRa communication. The receiver node displays the received data on a 16x2 LCD and controls the cooling fan using a relay module. The testing results show that the system operates properly. The DHT22 sensor provides high accuracy with an average temperature reading difference of 0.3°C. The cooling fan activates automatically at 28°C and stops when the temperature drops below the threshold. The LoRa communication range reaches approximately 30 meters indoors and 50 meters in open areas, with a response time of 1–2 seconds. The system can operate on battery power with an estimated working time of around 7 hours for the transmitter and 6 hours for the receiver. In conclusion, the IoT-based automatic cooling system using ESP32 and LoRa performs effectively in controlling room temperature, is energy-efficient, and provides stable communication suitable for real-world applications.
