Abstract
Produksi ayam broiler merupakan sektor penting dalam penyediaan protein hewani di Indonesia. Namun, tingginya angka kematian ayam akibat stres panas (heat stress) masih menjadi tantangan utama, terutama pada peternakan skala kecil yang umumnya masih menggunakan metode pendinginan manual. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pendingin kandang ayam broiler otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dengan memanfaatkan NodeMCU ESP32, sensor DHT11, modul relay, dan kipas. Sistem dirancang agar dapat memantau suhu dan kelembapan secara real-time serta mengendalikan kipas secara otomatis ketika suhu melebihi 28°C dan mematikannya kembali saat suhu turun di bawah 25°C. Selain itu, sistem dilengkapi dengan mode manual melalui aplikasi Blynk sehingga pengguna memiliki fleksibilitas dalam pengoperasian. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu bekerja sesuai dengan rancangan, dengan kipas menyala pada saat suhu ≥ 28°C dan mati ketika suhu ≤ 25°C. Dengan adanya sistem ini, peternak kecil diharapkan dapat menjaga kenyamanan ayam, menekan risiko kematian akibat suhu ekstrem, serta meningkatkan produktivitas pemeliharaan ayam broiler. However, the high mortality rate caused by heat stress remains a major challenge, especially for small-scale farms that generally rely on manual cooling methods. This study aims to design and implement an automatic broiler chicken house cooling system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using NodeMCU ESP32, DHT11 sensor, relay module, and fan. The system is designed to monitor temperature and humidity in real-time and control the fan automatically when the temperature exceeds 28°C, and turn it off when the temperature drops below 25°C. In addition, the system is equipped with a manual mode through the Blynk application, giving users flexibility in operation. The testing results show that the system works as expected, with the fan turning on at ≥ 28°C and turning off at ≤ 25°C. This system is expected to help small-scale farmers maintain broiler chicken comfort, reduce mortality risk due to extreme temperatures, and improve overall productivity.
