Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan efektivitas biaya antara metode pemeliharaan piringan menggunakan Chemical Spraying dengan metode manual/konvensional pada tanaman kelapa sawit TBM. Pemeliharaan piringan merupakan kegiatan penting dalam budidaya kelapa sawit karena berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman, sehingga efisiensi biaya dan penggunaan tenaga kerja menjadi pertimbangan utama dalam pengelolaannya. Penelitian dilakukan pada satu blok seluas 16 hektar dengan jumlah 2.288 pokok, dengan membandingkan kebutuhan tenaga kerja dan biaya dari kedua metode tersebut.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode Chemical Spraying lebih unggul dari segi efisiensi tenaga kerja dan biaya. Metode Chemical Spraying hanya membutuhkan 19 tenaga kerja, sedangkan metode manual membutuhkan 92 tenaga kerja. Dari sisi biaya, metode Chemical Spraying menghabiskan Rp 5.520,- per pokok dengan total biaya Rp 12.632.959,-, lebih rendah dibandingkan metode manual yang mencapai Rp 6.749,- per pokok dengan total biaya Rp15.442.012,-. Selisih biaya sebesar Rp1.229,- per pokok menunjukkan bahwa metode Chemical Spraying lebih hemat dan lebih efisien dalam pelaksanaan di lapangan.Kesimpulannya, pemeliharaan piringan menggunakan metode Chemical Spraying terbukti lebih efektif dan efisien baik dari segi penggunaan tenaga kerja maupun biaya operasional. Oleh karena itu, metode ini layak untuk diterapkan secara luas terutama pada areal perkebunan kelapa sawit yang memiliki skala lahan besar. Kata Kunci : Chemical Spraying, Metode Manual, Kelapa Sawit TBM, Efektivitas Biaya,Efisiensi Tenaga Kerja ====================================================== This study aims to analyze the difference in cost effectiveness between the Chemical Spraying method and the manual/conventional method for circle maintenance of immature oil palm (TBM). Circle maintenance is an important activity in oil palm cultivation as it influences plant growth; therefore, cost efficiency and labor utilization are key considerations in plantation management. The research was conducted on one block covering 16 hectares with a total of 2,288 palms, comparing labor requirements and operational costs of the two methods.The results showed that the Chemical Spraying method was superior in terms of labor efficiency and cost effectiveness. The Chemical Spraying method required only 19 workers, while the manual method required 92 workers. In terms of cost, the Chemical Spraying method incurred Rp 5,520 per palm with a total cost of Rp 12,632,959, which was lower than the manual method that reached Rp6.749 per palm with a total cost of Rp15.442.012. The cost difference of Rp1.229 per palm indicates that the Chemical Spraying method is more economical and operationally efficient in field implementation.In conclusion, circle maintenance using the Chemical Spraying method is proven to be more effective and efficient both in terms of labor utilization and operational cost. Therefore, this method is suitable to be widely applied, especially in large-scale oil palm plantation areas.
