Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peningkatan kualitas pertumbuhan awal bibit kelapa sawit melalui pemberian zat pengatur tumbuh guna mendukung produktivitas tanaman secara berkelanjutan, sehingga diperlukan kajian ilmiah mengenai pengaruh asam giberelat (GA₃) terhadap parameter pertumbuhan vegetatif; secara teoritis, GA₃ merupakan hormon tumbuhan yang berperan dalam merangsang pembelahan dan pemanjangan sel yang berdampak pada peningkatan tinggi tanaman, panjang daun, lebar daun, serta jumlah daun; penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari beberapa perlakuan dosis GA₃ yaitu 0 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, dan 150 ppm dengan pengamatan parameter pertumbuhan selama periode tertentu serta dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA; hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara deskriptif dosis 100 ppm memberikan kecenderungan hasil terbaik pada seluruh parameter pertumbuhan dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya, meskipun secara statistik tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada taraf kepercayaan 95%; pembahasan mengindikasikan bahwa faktor lingkungan dan variasi individu tanaman turut memengaruhi hasil penelitian sehingga respon terhadap GA₃ belum optimal secara statistik; dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian GA₃ berpotensi meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit, namun diperlukan penelitian lanjutan dengan variasi dosis dan jumlah ulangan yang lebih besar agar diperoleh hasil yang lebih akurat dan signifikan. Kata Kunci: GA3, Kelapa Sawit, Pertumbuhan Bibit, Perkecambahan, Zat Pengatur Tumbuh ==================================================================================== This research is motivated by the importance of improving the quality of early growth of oil palm seedlings through the provision of growth regulators to support sustainable plant productivity, so that a scientific study is needed regarding the effect of gibberellic acid (GA₃) on vegetative growth parameters; theoretically, GA₃ is a plant hormone that plays a role in stimulating cell division and elongation which has an impact on increasing plant height, leaf length, leaf width, and number of leaves; this research uses an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of several GA₃ dose treatments, namely 0 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, and 150 ppm with observations of growth parameters over a certain period and analyzed using the ANOVA test; the results of the study indicate that descriptively the 100 ppm dose provides a tendency for the best results in all growth parameters compared to other treatments, although statistically it does not show a significant difference at the 95% confidence level; the discussion indicates that environmental factors and individual plant variations also influence the results of the study so that the response to GA₃ is not yet statistically optimal; Thus, it can be concluded that the administration of GA₃ has the potential to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings, but further research is needed with variations in doses and a larger number of replications to obtain more accurate and significant results.
