Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem kotak amal berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mampu mendeteksi serta memantau jumlah uang yang masuk secara otomatis dan real-time. Sistem ini memanfaatkan sensor TCS3200 untuk mengidentifikasi warna uang kertas sebagai dasar penentuan nominal, serta modul ESP32 sebagai mikrokontroler yang berfungsi mengolah data dan mengirimkannya ke platform berbasis internet. Informasi hasil deteksi ditampilkan secara real-time melalui aplikasi atau website sehingga memudahkan pengelola dalam melakukan pemantauan tanpa harus membuka kotak amal secara langsung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode design and development yang meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, pembuatan alat, serta pengujian sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sensor TCS3200 mampu mendeteksi perbedaan warna uang kertas dengan tingkat akurasi yang baik, sedangkan modul ESP32 mampu mengirimkan data secara stabil melalui jaringan internet. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan transparansi, keamanan, dan efisiensi dalam pengelolaan kotak amal. Selain itu, sistem ini juga dapat meminimalisir risiko kehilangan atau penyalahgunaan dana karena proses monitoring dapat dilakukan secara jarak jauh dan real-time. Kata kunci: Kotak Amal, Internet of Things (IoT), TCS3200, ESP32, Monitoring Real-Time ======================================================= This research aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based donation box system capable of automatically detecting and monitoring incoming cash in real time. This system utilizes a TCS3200 sensor to identify the color of banknotes as the basis for determining the denomination, and an ESP32 module as a microcontroller to process the data and send it to an internet-based platform. Detection results was displayed in real time via an application or website, making it easier for managers to monitor cash without having to open the donation box directly. The research method used was design and development, which included requirements analysis, system design, tool construction, and system testing. The results showed that the TCS3200 sensor was able to detect differences in banknote color with a high level of accuracy, while the ESP32 module was able to transmit data stably over the internet. This system is expected to increase transparency, security, and efficiency in donation box management. Furthermore, the system can minimize the risk of loss or misuse of funds because the monitoring process can be carried out remotely and in real time.
