Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya Mucuna Bracteata sebagai tanaman penutup tanah serta peran unsur fosfor dalam mendukung pertumbuhannya, sehingga diperlukan kajian mengenai pengaruh pupuk Rock Phosphate. Permasalahan yang dikaji adalah bagaimana pengaruh pemberian Rock Phosphate terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman tersebut. Secara teori, fosfor berperan dalam pembentukan akar, pembelahan sel, dan pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman, sedangkan Rock Phosphate merupakan sumber fosfor alami yang bersifat slow release. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan Rock Phosphate diharapkan mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman secara bertahap. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yaitu dosis Rock Phosphate (0 g, 2 g, 4 g, dan 6 g) dengan 5 ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan diameter batang yang diukur hingga 5 MST. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara deskriptif perlakuan P2 (4 g) memberikan pertumbuhan terbaik dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Namun, berdasarkan uji ANOVA diperoleh nilai signifikansi lebih dari 0,05 sehingga perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter. Hal ini diduga karena dosis yang belum optimal dan sifat Rock Phosphate yang bekerja secara lambat. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian Rock Phosphate belum memberikan pengaruh nyata, namun menunjukkan kecenderungan meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian lanjutan dengan variasi dosis dan waktu pengamatan yang lebih panjang. Kata kunci : Mucuna Bracteata, Rock Phosphate, Fosfor, Pertumbuhan Vegetatif, RAL ================================================================================================= This research is motivated by the importance of Mucuna Bracteata as a ground cover plant and the role of phosphorus in supporting its growth, so it is necessary to study the effect of Rock Phosphatee fertilizer. The problem studied is how the application of Rock Phosphatee affects the growth of the plant. In theory, phosphorus plays a role in root formation, cell division, and vegetative growth of plants, while Rock Phosphatee is a natural source of phosphorus that is slow release. Therefore, the use of Rock Phosphatee is expected to be able to increase plant growth gradually. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, namely the dose of Rock Phosphatee (0 g, 2 g, 4 g, and 6 g) with 5 replications. The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, and stem diameter measured up to 5 WAP. The results showed that descriptively, the P2 treatment (4 g) provided the best growth compared to other treatments. However, based on the ANOVA test, a significance value of more than 0.05 was obtained so that the treatment did not have a significant effect on all parameters. This is likely due to the suboptimal dosage and the slow-acting nature of Rock Phosphatee. Therefore, it caopladn be concluded that the application of Rock Phosphatee has not had a significant effect, but it does show a tendency to increase plant growth.
