Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh waktu penyemprotan terhadap efektivitas pengendalian gulma dan efisiensi waktu kerja pada tanaman kelapa sawit di PTPN IV Regional I Kebun Sisumut. Pengendalian gulma merupakan kegiatan penting dalam budidaya kelapa sawit karena dapat memengaruhi pertumbuhan dan produktivitas tanaman. Namun, pelaksanaan penyemprotan di lapangan seringkali belum mempertimbangkan waktu aplikasi yang tepat.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen lapangan dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari empat perlakuan waktu penyemprotan, yaitu pagi, siang, sore, dan malam, dengan tiga kali ulangan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi efektivitas penyemprotan (%) dan efisiensi waktu kerja (menit).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu penyemprotan berpengaruh nyata terhadap efektivitas dan efisiensi kerja. Penyemprotan malam hari memberikan efektivitas tertinggi (89%), diikuti pagi (86%), sore (81%), dan siang (71%). Analisis ragam menunjukkan pengaruh nyata perlakuan, dan uji DMRT menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan malam dan pagi tidak berbeda nyata namun berbeda dengan perlakuan lainnya. Dari sisi efisiensi, penyemprotan siang hari memiliki waktu tercepat namun efektivitas terendah, sedangkan malam hari lebih lama tetapi hasil lebih optimal.Dengan demikian, waktu penyemprotan yang paling optimal adalah pagi dan malam hari karena memberikan keseimbangan antara efektivitas dan efisiensi kerja. Kata kunci : Kelapa Sawit, Gulma, Efektivitas, Efisiensi Waktu =================================================================================================== This study aims to analyze the effect of spraying time on weed control effectiveness and work time efficiency in oil palm plantations at PTPN IV Regional I Kebun Sisumut. Weed control is an essential activity in oil palm cultivation as it affects plant growth and productivity. However, spraying activities are often conducted without considering the appropriate application time.This research used a field experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of four spraying time treatments: morning, midday, afternoon, and night, with three replications. The observed parameters were spraying effectiveness (%) and time efficiency (minutes).The results showed that spraying time significantly affected both effectiveness and efficiency. Night spraying resulted in the highest effectiveness (89%), followed by morning (86%), afternoon (81%), and midday (71%). ANOVA indicated a significant effect, and DMRT showed that night and morning treatments were not significantly different but differed from the others. In terms of efficiency, midday spraying required the shortest time but produced the lowest effectiveness, while night spraying took longer but gave more optimal results.In conclusion, the most optimal spraying times are in the morning and at night, as they provide a balance between effectiveness and efficiency.
