Abstract
At PTPN 4 Panai Jaya Sei Rakyat, job promotions continue to face challenges related to the gap between employee work performance and equal levels of discipline. This study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous impact of work performance and discipline on employee promotions. A questionnaire was administered to 78 respondents selected from a population of 360 employees using a basic random sampling procedure as part of the quantitative research methodology. Multiple linear regression tests were used in the SPSS application to process and analyze the obtained data. The study showed that job promotions were significantly influenced by work discipline and overall performance by 52.3%. Partially, work discipline and work performance variables were also proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee promotion. The study's conclusion confirms that promotion policies are highly determined by the level of discipline and work results achieved. Company management is advised to tighten discipline and implement objective performance assessments so that promotion competitions are fair and in accordance with procedures. Keywords : Employee; Position Promotion; SPSS; Work Discipline; Work Performance =================================================================================================== Di PTPN 4 Panai Jaya Sei Rakyat, promosi jabatan terus menghadapi sejumlah tantangan terkait dengan kesenjangan kinerja kerja karyawan dan tingkat disiplin yang setara. Penelitian ini bertujuan buat menguji dampak parsial dan simultan dari kinerja kerja dan disiplin pada promosi jabatan karyawan. Sebanyak 78 responden yang dipilih dari populasi 360 karyawan menggunakan prosedur pengambilan sampel acak dasar diberikan kuesioner sebagai bagian dari metodologi penelitian kuantitatif. Uji regresi linier berganda digunakan dalam aplikasi SPSS untuk mengolah dan mengkaji data yang didapatkan. Pada penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa promosi jabatan secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh disiplin kerja maupun kinerja keseluruhan sebanyak 52,3%. Secara parsial, variabel disiplin kerja dan prestasi kerja juga terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan posisi jabatan karyawan. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa kebijakan promosi jabatan sangat ditentukan oleh tingkat kedisiplinan dan pencapaian hasil kerja. Manajemen perusahaan disarankan untuk memperketat kedisiplinan dan menerapkan penilaian kinerja yang objektif agar persaingan promosi berlangsung adil dan sesuai dengan prosedur.
