Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas insektisida berbahan aktif Asefat 75% terhadap penurunan populasi ulat kantong (Metisa plana) pada tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.), menentukan konsentrasi yang paling efektif, serta mengetahui tingkat mortalitas ulat kantong setelah aplikasi insektisida. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2025 sampai Januari 2026 di Kelurahan Langga Payung, Kecamatan Sungai Kanan, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan konsentrasi Asefat 75%, yaitu P0 (0 g/L), P1 (0,5 g/L), P2 (1,0 g/L), dan P3 (1,5 g/L), masing-masing diulang sebanyak lima kali. Parameter yang diamati meliputi populasi ulat kantong hidup, populasi ulat kantong mati, dan mortalitas ulat kantong pada 7, 14, dan 21 hari setelah aplikasi (HSA). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi insektisida Asefat 75% berpengaruh nyata terhadap penurunan populasi ulat kantong. Perlakuan P2 (1,0 g/L) merupakan konsentrasi yang paling efektif dengan jumlah populasi ulat hidup terendah yaitu 0,8 ekor pada 21 HSA. Perlakuan tersebut juga menghasilkan mortalitas tertinggi sebesar 67,66% pada 7 HSA dan mortalitas kumulatif sebesar 96,99% selama periode pengamatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa insektisida berbahan aktif Asefat 75% efektif dalam mengendalikan ulat kantong (Metisa plana) pada tanaman kelapa sawit, dengan konsentrasi optimum sebesar 1,0 g/L. Kata kunci: Asefat 75%, Metisa Plana, Kelapa Sawit, Mortalitas, Populasi Hama ================================================================================================= This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Acephate 75% insecticide in reducing the population of bagworms (Metisa plana) on oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.), to identify the most effective concentration, and to evaluate the mortality rate of bagworms after insecticide application. The research was conducted from December 2025 to January 2026 in Langga Payung Village, Sungai Kanan District, South Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed with four concentrations of Acephate 75%, namely P0 (0 g/L), P1 (0.5 g/L), P2 (1.0 g/L), and P3 (1.5 g/L), with five replications for each treatment. The observed parameters included the number of live bagworms, dead bagworms, and bagworm mortality at 7, 14, and 21 days after application (DAA). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the application of Acephate 75% significantly reduced the bagworm population. Treatment P2 (1.0 g/L) was the most effective concentration, resulting in the lowest live bagworm population of 0.8 individuals at 21 DAA. This treatment also produced the highest mortality rate of 67.66% at 7 DAA and a cumulative mortality of 96.99% throughout the observation period. It can be concluded that Acephate 75% insecticide is effective in controlling bagworms (Metisa plana) on oil palm, with an optimum concentration of 1.0 g/L.
