Abstract
Perkembangan Internet of Things (IoT) memberikan kemudahan dalam melakukan pemantauan suatu area secara jarak jauh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem monitoring menggunakan modul ESP32-CAM yang mampu melakukan pengambilan serta pengiriman data gambar ke website melalui API. Sistem menggunakan ESP32 sebagai mikrokontroler utama, sensor PIR sebagai pendeteksi gerakan, ESP32-CAM sebagai perangkat pengambilan gambar dan live streaming, serta buzzer sebagai indikator peringatan. Ketika sensor PIR mendeteksi gerakan, ESP32 menerima sinyal dan memberikan perintah kepada ESP32-CAM untuk mengambil gambar. Gambar dalam format JPEG kemudian diproses menjadi Base64 dan dikirimkan ke backend melalui API menggunakan metode POST. Data yang diterima selanjutnya disimpan pada database dan ditampilkan melalui website dalam bentuk hasil monitoring, riwayat gambar, informasi perangkat, dan live streaming. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan metode Black Box Testing untuk mengetahui fungsi setiap bagian sistem berdasarkan keluaran yang dihasilkan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat menjalankan proses deteksi gerakan, pengambilan gambar, pemberian peringatan, pengiriman data melalui API, penyimpanan data, serta penyajian hasil monitoring pada website. Dengan demikian, sistem yang dibangun dapat digunakan sebagai media monitoring yang mengintegrasikan perangkat IoT dengan backend dan website secara terstruktur. Kata kunci: Internet of Things, ESP32-CAM, ESP32, Sensor PIR, API, Sistem Monitoring ================================================================================================== The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) provides convenience in monitoring an area remotely. This research aims to design and develop a monitoring system using the ESP32-CAM module that is capable of capturing and transmitting image data to a website through an API. The system uses ESP32 as the main microcontroller, a PIR sensor as a motion detector, ESP32-CAM as an image capture and live streaming device, and a buzzer as a warning indicator. When the PIR sensor detects motion, the ESP32 receives the signal and sends a command to the ESP32-CAM to capture an image. The image in JPEG format is then processed into Base64 and sent to the backend through an API using the POST method. The received data is subsequently stored in a database and displayed on the website in the form of monitoring results, image history, device information, and live streaming. Testing is conducted using the Black Box Testing method to determine the function of each system component based on the resulting output. The implementation results show that the system can perform motion detection, image capture, warning notification, data transmission through the API, data storage, and presentation of monitoring results on the website. Therefore, the developed system can be used as a monitoring medium that integrates IoT devices with the backend and website in a structured manner.
