Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat serangan hama tikus dan mengevaluasi indikasi efektivitas penggunaan rodentisida pada tanaman kelapa sawit di AFD III PT Herfinta Farm and Plantation Tanjung Medan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif sebelum dan sesudah aplikasi. Data sensus, monitoring, mortalitas tikus teramati, dan kehilangan hasil TBS merupakan data lapangan yang telah dikonfirmasi oleh perusahaan. Sensus pada delapan blok, yaitu B16, B17, B18, B19, C16, C17, D16, dan D17, mencatat 783 pokok, terdiri atas 732 pokok sehat dan 51 pokok terserang, sehingga persentase serangan awal sebesar 6,51%. Rodentisida Tikumin berbahan aktif warfarin diaplikasikan pada 51 titik dengan dosis 1 gram per pokok dan dimonitor pada H0, H+1, H+3, H+5, H+7, dan H+14. Hasil monitoring menunjukkan sisa umpan menurun dari 51 gram menjadi 13 gram atau berkurang 74,51%, sedangkan mortalitas teramati mencapai 10 ekor. Jumlah pokok dengan gejala serangan aktif menurun dari 51 menjadi 23 pokok atau 54,90%. Estimasi kehilangan produksi TBS menurun dari 216 kg menjadi 84 kg, sehingga terdapat penurunan potensi kehilangan sebesar 132 kg dan penurunan estimasi kerugian sebesar Rp330.000 pada harga TBS Rp2.500/kg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya indikasi keberhasilan pengendalian rodentisida, tetapi temuan tetap ditafsirkan secara deskriptif karena penelitian tidak menggunakan plot kontrol dan uji statistik inferensial. Kata kunci: Hama Tikus, Kelapa Sawit, Rodentisida, Warfarin, Serangan Aktif ========================================================= This study aimed to analyze rat-pest infestation and evaluate the indicated effectiveness of rodenticide application in an oil palm plantation at Division III of PT Herfinta Farm and Plantation Tanjung Medan. A descriptive quantitative before-and-after approach was applied. Census, monitoring, observed mortality, and fresh fruit bunch (FFB) loss data were field records confirmed by the company. The census covered eight blocks (B16, B17, B18, B19, C16, C17, D16, and D17) and recorded 783 palms, consisting of 732 healthy palms and 51 infested palms, corresponding to an initial infestation rate of 6.51%. Tikumin rodenticide containing warfarin was applied at 51 points at a dose of 1 g per palm and monitored on day 0, days 1, 3, 5, 7, and 14. The remaining bait decreased from 51 g to 13 g, representing a 74.51% reduction, while 10 rat carcasses were observed. Palms showing active infestation symptoms decreased from 51 to 23 palms, or by 54.90%. Estimated FFB production loss decreased from 216 kg to 84 kg, indicating a reduction of 132 kg and an estimated economic-loss reduction of IDR 330,000 at an FFB price of IDR 2,500/kg. The results indicate that rodenticide application was associated with improved field indicators; however, the findings should remain descriptively interpreted because no control plot or inferential statistical test was used.
