Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out about the Bioecological study of B. schwanenfeldii (Bleeker, 1854) in Barumun River, South Labuhanbatu Regency, by knowing the size class, weight length relationship, population density, condion factors and Aquatic Chemical Physics factors. This research is an exploratory descriptive research. In this study, the determination of the observation station as a location for fish sampling using the purposive sampling method, fishing gear in the form of nets, 3 times sampling with 3 sampling points. From the results of the study, 55 samples were obtained. The size class B. schwanenfeldii contains a small size class. The size class B. schwanenfeldii contains a small size class. The weight length relationship of B. schwanenfeldii values is negative allometric (b < 3). The population density of B. schwanenfeldii shows that the highest population density is found at Station 3 at 2.1 individuals/m2 and the relative weight factor shows the average value is in the range of 100. Analysis of the condition factor of Fulton < 1 states that the fish look thin. Physical and chemical factors of waters that have been carried out show the following results: Temperature 26 – 28 cmC. Water depth 188 – 144 cm. Current speed 0.02 - 0.04 m/s. Brightness ranges from 35 – 56 cm. Turbidity 43.80 – 176.40 NTU. TSS 20.00 – 100.00 mg/L. The pH of the water is at 7.21 – 8.02. DO 4,47 – 7,25 mg/L. COD 12.44 – 25.16 mg/L. Phosphate <0.003 mg/L and Nitrate 2.28 – 2.74 mg/L. Keywords : Bioecology, Barbonymus Schwanenfeldii, Barumun River. Kelas ukuran B. schwanenfeldii terdapat kelas ukuran ukurun kecil. Hubungan panjang berat B. schwanenfeldii nilai bersifat allometrik negatif (b < 3). Kedalaman air 188 - 144 cm. Kecepatan arus 0,02 - 0,04 m/s. Kecerahan berkisar 35 – 56 cm. Kekeruhan 43,80 - 176,40 NTU. TSS 20,00 -100,00 mg/L. pH air berada diangka 7,21 – 8,02. DO 4,47 – 7,25 mg/L. COD 12,44 -25,16 mg/L. Fosfat <0.003 mg/L dan Nitrat 2,28 – 2,74 mg/L. Kata kunci : Bioekologi, Barbonymus schwanenfeldii, Sungai Barumun.
