Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the growth and production of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L) when given media in the form of compost incubation of soil from vegetable and fruit residue. The research was conducted in Menang Sari Hamlet, Sukadame Village, Silangkitang District, Labuhan Batu Selatan District. This research was conducted in early December 2022 to April 2023, the study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 repetitions, namely P0 = 1 kg of Ultisol soil, P1 = 1 kg of Ultisol soil + 500 grams of compost , and P2 = 1 kg of soil Ultisol + 1 kg of compost. The results showed that the application of incubation soil for compost of vegetable and fruit residues had no significant effect on the parameters of plant height and number of leaves of mustard greens, but on the parameters of plant weight, fresh weight of plant roots, and dry the weight of plant roots had a significant effect on the application of compost incubation soil. leftover vegetables and leftover fruit.
