Abstract
Di tengah persaingan global yang semakin ketat, perusahaan dituntut untuk terus mengoptimalkan proses bisnis guna mencapai efisiensi operasional dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan. Metode Six Sigma, yang menekankan pada pengurangan variasi dan peningkatan kualitas, telah menjadi pendekatan yang populer dalam mengatasi permasalahan proses yang kompleks. Integrasi teknologi informasi (TI) dengan Six Sigma memperkenalkan dimensi baru dalam optimalisasi proses bisnis, dimana TI memainkan peran penting dalam memfasilitasi pengumpulan data secara otomatis, pengolahan data yang cepat, analisis berbasis algoritma, serta pemantauan performa yang real-time. Melalui metodologi DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), TI dapat mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis data, mempercepat identifikasi penyebab utama masalah, dan memberikan solusi perbaikan yang lebih akurat. Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan metode Six Sigma berbasis TI pada sebuah perusahaan manufaktur besar, dengan fokus pada pengaruh integrasi tersebut terhadap peningkatan produktivitas, pengurangan biaya operasional, dan peningkatan kualitas output. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan TI dalam proyek Six Sigma tidak hanya meningkatkan akurasi analisis dan kontrol proses, tetapi juga mempercepat waktu siklus perbaikan dan memungkinkan implementasi yang lebih responsif terhadap perubahan kebutuhan pasar. Selain itu, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya infrastruktur TI yang mendukung, serta pelatihan yang memadai bagi tim untuk memastikan keberhasilan penerapan Six Sigma yang berbasis TI. Temuan ini menawarkan wawasan penting bagi perusahaan yang berupaya mencapai keunggulan kompetitif melalui optimisasi proses bisnis yang didukung oleh teknologi. The Six Sigma method, which emphasizes reducing variation and improving quality, has become a popular approach in addressing complex process problems. The integration of information technology (IT) with Six Sigma introduces a new dimension in business process optimization, where IT plays an important role in facilitating automated data collection, fast data processing, algorithm-based analysis, and real-time performance monitoring. Through the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology, IT can support data-driven decision-making, accelerate the identification of root causes of problems, and provide more accurate remediation solutions. This study examines the application of IT-based Six Sigma methods in a large manufacturing company, focusing on the effect of the integration on increasing productivity, reducing operational costs, and improving output quality. The results of the study show that the use of IT in Six Sigma projects not only improves the accuracy of analysis and process control, but also accelerates the repair cycle time and enables a more responsive implementation to changing market needs. In addition, the study highlights the importance of a supportive IT infrastructure, as well as adequate training for the team to ensure a successful IT-based Six Sigma implementation. These findings offer important insights for companies seeking to achieve competitive advantage through technology-enabled business process optimization.
