Abstract

This study aims to develop a decision support system (DSS) based on the COPRAS method to help simplify the employee selection process at SPX Express, Rokan Hilir. The employee selection process at SPX Express Rokan Hilir, Riau, faces challenges related to subjectivity, weak data integration, and lack of a systematic approach. This method allows transparent candidate evaluation based on predetermined criteria weights, including personality tests, health, knowledge, age, and work experience. The study was conducted through the stages of determining criteria and weights, collecting candidate data, normalizing data, and calculating the final ranking using an integrated matrix. Based on the results of data processing using this method, the three highest rankings obtained were CP_02, CP_01, and CP_05. The results showed that the COPRAS method was able to provide a more objective and structured candidate ranking, thereby accelerating the decision-making process and reducing the potential for selection errors. The implementation of this DSS is expected to improve the operational efficiency of SPX Express, ensure that selected candidates are in accordance with the company's needs, and become an employee selection model that can be applied in various industries.
