Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peran Guru PPKn Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Peduli Sosial Terhadap Siswa Kelas VIII Di Sekolah SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan disekolah SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan jalan K.H. Dewantara Kecamatan Rantau Selatan Kabupaten Labuhanbatu, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan bulan September 2024 s/d Januari 2025. Penelitian menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Sumber data primer dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 6 siswa dan 5 informan kunci, Wakil Kepala Sekolah, Guru PPKn, dan wali kelas VIII, sumber data yang kedua yaitu sumber data sekunder, diperoleh dari berbagai sumber seperti dokumen resmi, jurnal, buku, maupun situs web yang dapat digunakan sebagai pendukung dan pelengkap data dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian Peran Guru PPKn Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Peduli Sosial di SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan telah direapkan dengan baik oleh Guru PPKn bahwa kegiatan yang dapat membentuk karakter peduli sosial peserta didik adalah dengan baik. Peran tersebut dilakukan dengan cara memberikan dukungan dan dorongan dari guru untuk mendidik karakter kepada peserta didik. Kata Kunci : Peran Guru PPKn, Karakter Peduli Sosial, SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan ======================================================= This study aims to determine the Role of PPKn Teacher in the Formation of Social care Character for Class VIII Studens at SMP Negri 1rantau selatan. This type of research is qualitive,the location of the research was carried out SMP Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan, jalan K.H Dewantar, Rantau Selatan District, Labuhanbatu Regency,North Sumtra. This research was conducted from December 2024 to January 2025. This study user observation, interviews, and documentation studies as data collection techniques. Primary data sources with a total of 6 students and 5 key informants, Vice Principal ,PPKn teacher, and homeroom teacher VIII, the second data source is secondary data source,obtained from various sources such as official documents, journals, books, and websites that can be used as supporting and complementary data in the study. The results of the study of the Role of PPKn Teacher in the Formation of Socially Caring Characters at SMP Negri 1 Rantau Selatan have been implemented well by PPKn teachers that activitas that can from students’ socially caring characters are good.
