Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan Smart Water Control System berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) untuk mengontrol dan memonitor pompa air secara otomatis di SD Negeri 112305 Padang Halaban. Sistem ini menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 sebagai pusat kendali, relay sebagai pengontrol pompa, serta Float switch sebagai sensor pendeteksi kondisi air penuh. Komunikasi data dilakukan menggunakan protokol MQTT melalui jaringan internet sehingga memungkinkan pengendalian jarak jauh dan pengiriman notifikasi secara real-time. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang meliputi tahap perancangan, pembuatan, dan pengujian sistem. Pengujian dilakukan selama 7 hari berturut-turut untuk mengevaluasi kinerja sistem dalam kondisi nyata. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu bekerja dengan stabil tanpa mengalami kegagalan koneksi maupun error sistem. Sistem juga mampu merespon perintah ON/OFF serta mengirimkan notifikasi kondisi tandon dengan waktu respon kurang dari 1 detik. Dengan adanya sistem ini, proses pengisian air menjadi lebih efisien, mampu mencegah terjadinya pemborosan air, serta mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap pengawasan manual. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi awal dalam penerapan konsep smart school berbasis IoT di lingkungan pendidikan. Kata kunci: Internet of Things, ESP32, MQTT, Smart Water Control System, Otomatisasi Pompa Air ================================================================================================ This study aims to design and implementation an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Smart Water Control System to automatically control and monitor water pumps at SD Negeri 112305 Padang Halaban. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller, a relay module to operate the water pump, and a Float switch sensor to detect full water conditions. Data communication is carried out using the MQTT protocol over the internet, enabling remote control and real-time notification delivery. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D), which includes system design, implementation, and testing stages. The system was tested over a period of 7 consecutive days to evaluate its performance under real conditions. The results show that the system operates reliably without connection failures or system errors. It is capable of responding to ON/OFF commands and sending water level notifications with a response time of less than one second. The implementation of this system improves water management efficiency, prevents water overfLOW, and reduces the need for manual monitoring. This system is expected to serve as an initial step toward implementing IoT-based smart school solutions in educational environments.
