Abstract

Mengingat kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa yang masih rendah, sesuai data pada Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) indonesia memiliki skor 366 untuk poin numerasi. Hal ini disebabkan metode pembelajaran yang paling umum dipakai oleh Sebagian besar guru di Indonesia adalah metode pembelajaran konvensional (Sumardi et al., 2020). Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis bagaimana peningkatan pemahaman matematis siswa setelah penerapan Metode PJBL dan secara spesifik dalam proyek lembar anggaran belanja. Penelitian yang digunakan berupa quasi eksperimen. Seluruh peserta didik kelas IX MTs N 2 LABUHANBATU adalah populasi dari penelitian ini yang berjumlah 48 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini meliputi dua kelompok kelas Sembilan, khususnya kelompok IX-B yang terdiri dari 24 peserta didik sebagai kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok IX-C dengan Eksperimen. ================================================================================================= Given students' low mathematical comprehension abilities, as indicated by Indonesia's PISA numeracy score of 366. This is caused by the fact that the most commonly used teaching method among the majority of teachers in Indonesia is the conventional teaching method (Sumardi et al., 2020). This study analyzes the enhancement of students' mathematical comprehension following the application of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method, specifically through a household budgeting project worksheet. This research utilized a quasi experimental approach. The entire population of Grade IX students at MTs N 2 Labuhanbatu, totaling 48 individuals, was considered. The sample consisted of two Grade IX classes: Class IX-B with 24 students as the experimental group and Class IX-C with 24 students as the control group. Based on the research data, the ANOVA test on the t-test yielded a significance value below 0.001, which is <0.05, data, the ANOVA test on the t-test yielded a significance value below 0.001, which is < 0.05, resulting in rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H₁). Therefore, it is concluded that the PJBL method improves mathematical comprehension more effectively than conventional methods.
