Abstract
Kata kunci: media edukasi animasi; matematika; problem based learning ================================== One of the success factors in mathematics education is the ability of students to solve mathematical problems. The current situation is that students are still not able to solve problems related to mathematics. An integrated education implementation system with educational media requires students to be able to solve mathematical problems. The purpose of this research is to identify the impact and influence of the use of a problem based learning (PBL) education implementation system assisted by animation media on students' basic numerical and statistical problem solving. This research was conducted at SMPN 2 Rantau Selatan. The research method used is a quasi experimental while the research design used is a post-test only control group design. The research subjects were all students of class IX and the samples used were class IX2 as the experimental class and class IX3 as the control class. Simple random sampling technique was used in sampling. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical data analysis technique using questionnaires and tests. Based on the results of the research data, it is known that the average mathematics post test in the experimental room was 72.75 and the average mathematics post test in the control room was 47.47. Students respond to the application of the educational model as a problem with an average score of 78.13. While the average response of students to animation media is 78.7.
