Abstract
Penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pembelajaran Biologi semakin berkembang di era digital dan berpotensi mendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Namun, penggunaan AI yang tidak terarah juga dapat menimbulkan ketergantungan sehingga penting untuk mengkaji hubungan penggunaannya dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat penggunaan AI, hubungan antara penggunaan AI dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta besarnya hubungan tersebut pada siswa kelas XII pada pelajaran Biologi di SMAN 1 Pangkatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 70 siswa kelas XII IPA-1 dan XII IPA-2 yang ditentukan melalui purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket skala Likert dan dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif, uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, linearitas, korelasi Pearson Product Moment, dan koefisien determinasi dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata penggunaan AI sebesar 52,40. Analisis korelasi Pearson memperoleh nilai r = 0,278 dengan signifikansi 0,020, menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan kategori rendah. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 7,7% menunjukkan bahwa sebagian kecil variasi kemampuan berpikir kritis berkaitan dengan penggunaan AI. Dengan demikian, penggunaan AI memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis, tetapi bukan satu-satunya faktor yang berkaitan dengan kemampuan tersebut. Kata Kunci: Artificial Intelligence, Penggunaan AI, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis ================================================================================================== The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Biology learning is increasingly developing in the digital era and has the potential to support students’ critical thinking skills. However, inappropriate and unstructured use of AI may also lead to dependency, making it important to examine the relationship between AI use and students’ critical thinking skills. This study aimed to determine the level of AI use, the relationship between AI use and critical thinking skills, and the magnitude of this relationship among Grade XII students in Biology learning at SMAN 1 Pangkatan. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 70 students from Grade XII Science 1 and Grade XII Science 2 selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, validity, reliability, normality, linearity, Pearson Product Moment correlation, and the coefficient of determination with the assistance of SPSS. The results showed that the mean score of AI use was 52.40. Pearson correlation analysis obtained r = 0.278 with a significance value of 0.020, indicating a positive and significant relationship with a low level of correlation. The coefficient of determination was 7.7%, indicating that a small proportion of the variation in critical thinking skills was associated with AI use. Thus, AI use has a positive and significant relationship with students’ critical thinking skills, but it is not the only factor associated with these skills.
