Abstract
Tanaman terong (Solanum melongena L.) adalah tanaman sayuran yang berasal dari famili Solanaceae dengan berbagai khasiat bagi kesehatan seperti menurunkan kadarkolesterol sebagai anti kanker, daerah penyebaran tanaman terong awalnya di beberapa negara (wilayah) antara lain di Karibia,, Afrika Barat, Afrika Tengah, Afrika Timur, dan Amerika Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian limbah air kolam ikan lele berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman terong. Perlakuan T4 (40%) menghasilkan pertumbuhan tertinggi pada semua parameter, yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, dan bobot buah. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kandungan nitrogen, fosfor, dan kalium pada air kolam ikan lele mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif tanaman. Dengan demikian, penggunaan limbah air kolam ikan lele sebagai pupuk organik cair dapat dijadikan alternatif ramah lingkungan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman terong sekaligus mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia. Kata kunci: Terong (Solanum Melongena L.), Air Kolam Ikan Lele, Pertumbuhan, Produksi =============================================================================== Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a vegetable plant originating from the Solanaceae family with various health benefits such as lowering cholesterol levels as an anti-cancer agent. The eggplant plant was originally distributed in several countries (regions), including the Caribbean, West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa, and South America. The results showed that the addition of catfish pond wastewater significantly affected the growth and production of eggplant plants. The T4 treatment (40%) resulted in the highest growth in all parameters, namely plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, and fruit weight. This proves that the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium content in catfish pond water can increase vegetative and generative plant growth. Thus, the use of catfish pond wastewater as a liquid organic fertilizer can be an environmentally friendly alternative to increase eggplant plant productivity while reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers.
