Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengatasi kurangnya sistem monitoring daya listrik secara real-time di SMPN 3 yang menyebabkan sulitnya mengontrol konsumsi energi dan mendeteksi beban berlebih. Subjek penelitian adalah sistem instalasi listrik sekolah dengan objek berupa parameter listrik (tegangan, arus, daya dan energi) pada beberapa titik beban. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Sistem dirancang menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32, sensor PZEM-004T sebagai alat ukur, LCD 20x4 sebagai media tampilan serta relay sebagai pengaman. Data dikumpulkan melalui pembacaan sensor secara real-time, kemudian dikirim menggunakan protokol MQTT dan diteruskan sebagai notifikasi melalui WhatsApp. Pengujian dilakukan dengan variasi beban listrik untuk mengetahui kinerja sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu bekerja dengan baik dalam membaca dan mengirimkan data secara real-time serta berhasil mendeteksi kondisi overcurrent dengan mengaktifkan relay dan mengirim notifikasi secara otomatis. Kesimpulannya, sistem ini efektif untuk meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan keamanan listrik di sekolah serta dapat direkomendasikan untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut. Kata kunci: IoT, Monitoring Listrik, ESP32, PZEM-004T, WhatsApp ================================================ This study aims to address the lack of real-time electrical power monitoring at SMPN 3, which makes it difficult to control energy consumption and detect overload conditions. The subject of this study is the school’s electrical system, with the object being electrical parameters (voltage, current, power, and energy) measured at several load points. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The system is developed using an ESP32 microcontroller, PZEM-004T sensor as the measuring instrument, a 20x4 LCD for display, and a relay as a protection device. Data are collected through real-time sensor readings, then transmitted using the MQTT protocol and forwarded as WhatsApp notifications. System testing is conducted using variations of electrical loads to evaluate performance. The results show that the system can monitor and transmit data in real-time, detect overcurrent conditions, automatically disconnect power via relay, and send notifications successfully. In conclusion, the system is effective in improving energy efficiency and electrical safety and is recommended for further development. Keywords: IoT, power monitoring, ESP32, PZEM-004T, WhatsApp
