Abstract
Banjir merupakan salah satu bencana alam yang kerap terjadi dan menimbulkan kerugian materi serta ancaman terhadap keselamatan manusia. Pemantauan ketinggian air secara real-time menjadi penting untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengembangkan sistem pemantauan banjir berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dengan memanfaatkan ESP32 dan teknologi komunikasi LoRa (Long Range). Sistem ini difokuskan pada pengukuran dan penyajian data ketinggian air secara langsung tanpa menggunakan aplikasi tambahan maupun notifikasi. Sistem dirancang dengan sensor ketinggian air yang terhubung ke ESP32 untuk melakukan pembacaan level air secara kontinu. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dikirim melalui modul LoRa ke perangkat penerima dan ditampilkan langsung melalui serial monitor atau layar sederhana. Penggunaan ESP32 memungkinkan pemrosesan data secara lokal sekaligus mengelola komunikasi LoRa secara efisien. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengirim data secara stabil pada jarak tertentu dengan konsumsi daya yang rendah. Sistem ini terbukti efektif sebagai alat pemantauan banjir sederhana, terutama di wilayah yang memiliki keterbatasan infrastruktur komunikasi, sekaligus menyediakan data real-time untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan. Real-time monitoring of water levels is crucial to enhance community preparedness. This study aims to design and develop a flood monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using ESP32 and LoRa (Long Range) communication technology. The system focuses on measuring and presenting water level data directly without the use of additional applications or notification features. The system is designed with a water level sensor connected to the ESP32 to continuously read water levels. The collected data is then transmitted via a LoRa module to a receiving device and displayed directly on a serial monitor or a simple screen. The use of ESP32 allows local data processing while efficiently managing LoRa communication. Testing results indicate that the system can transmit data stably over a certain distance with low power consumption. The system has proven effective as a simple flood monitoring tool, particularly in areas with limited communication infrastructure, while providing real time data to support decision-making.
