Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pupuk organik padat berbahan pelepah kelapa sawit yang difermentasi menggunakan kotoran ayam terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.) varietas Galaxy F1 serta menentukan dosis terbaik yang digunakan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari–April 2026 di Dusun Purwosari, Desa Bandar Tinggi. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial dengan empat taraf perlakuan, yaitu P0 (0 g/tanaman), P1 (100 g/tanaman), P2 (200 g/tanaman), dan P3 (300 g/tanaman), yang diulang sebanyak enam kali. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter buah, dan bobot buah per tanaman. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk organik padat pelepah kelapa sawit yang difermentasi menggunakan kotoran ayam tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap seluruh parameter yang diamati, yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter buah, dan bobot buah per tanaman. Hal ini diduga karena pelepasan unsur hara dari pupuk organik berlangsung secara bertahap (slow release) sehingga belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan hara tanaman selama masa penelitian. Dengan demikian, pemberian pupuk organik hingga dosis 300 g/tanaman belum mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun varietas Galaxy F1 secara nyata. Kata kunci: Mentimun, Pupuk Organik, Pelepah Kelapa Sawit, Kotoran Ayam, Pertumbuhan, Produksi ================================================================================================== This study aimed to determine the effect of applying solid organic fertilizer made from oil palm fronds fermented with chicken manure on the growth and yield of Galaxy F1 cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) plants, as well as to identify the optimal application rate. The study was conducted from January to April 2026 in Purwosari Hamlet, Bandar Tinggi Village. The research method employed a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatment levels: P0 (0 g/plant), P1 (100 g/plant), P2 (200 g/plant), and P3 (300 g/plant), each repeated six times. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, fruit diameter, and fruit weight per plant. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the application of solid organic fertilizer made from oil palm fronds fermented with chicken manure had no significant effect (P > 0.05) on any of the observed parameters, namely plant height, number of leaves, fruit diameter, and fruit weight per plant. This is likely because the release of nutrients from the organic fertilizer occurs gradually (slow release), so it was not yet able to meet the plants’ nutrient requirements during the study period. Thus, the application of organic fertilizer at doses up to 300 g/plant was not able to significantly increase the growth and yield of the Galaxy F1 cucumber variety.
