Abstract
Peningkatan aktivitas perdagangan secara daring menyebabkan proses pengiriman dan penerimaan paket semakin sering dilakukan. Permasalahan muncul ketika pemilik rumah tidak berada di lokasi saat kurir mengantarkan paket, sehingga paket berisiko mengalami kehilangan, kerusakan, atau akses yang tidak diizinkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membangun sistem kotak penerima paket berbasis Internet of Things dengan notifikasi WhatsApp. Pengembangan sistem menggunakan metode Waterfall yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem menggunakan ESP32 sebagai pusat kendali, sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04 untuk mendeteksi keberadaan paket, magnetic switch untuk membaca kondisi pintu, serta relay module dan solenoid door lock untuk mengendalikan mekanisme penguncian. Sistem juga dilengkapi push button, LCD 16×2, LED indikator, jaringan Wi-Fi, backend Application Programming Interface, basis data Supabase, dan WhatsApp Gateway. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan black box testing, pengujian akurasi sensor, waktu respons, dan integrasi end-to end. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi utama sistem berjalan sesuai rancangan. Paket terdeteksi pada jarak kurang dari atau sama dengan 5 cm dan tetap berstatus terdeteksi hingga jarak melebihi 10 cm. Rata-rata kesalahan pembacaan sensor pada rentang 5–10 cm sebesar 0,70%. Waktu respons pembukaan solenoid sebesar 0,86 detik, deteksi paket 1,87 detik, komunikasi dengan backend 0,42 detik, dan perintah jarak jauh 1,31 detik. Notifikasi WhatsApp diterima dalam rata-rata 60,84 detik karena adanya penundaan terprogram selama 60 detik. Dengan demikian, sistem mampu mendeteksi dan mengamankan paket, menolak akses ketika kotak terisi, mencatat riwayat kejadian, serta menyampaikan informasi kepada pemilik melalui WhatsApp. Kata kunci: ESP32, Internet of Things, kotak penerima paket, sensor ultrasonik, WhatsApp ================================================================================================== The increasing use of online commerce has led to a higher frequency of package delivery and receipt. A problem arises when homeowners are unavailable at the delivery location, which may expose packages to loss, damage, or unauthorized access. This study aimed to design and develop an Internet of Things-based package receiving box equipped with WhatsApp notifications. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, consisting of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. An ESP32 was used as the main controller, while an HC SR04 ultrasonic sensor was employed to detect the presence of a package. A magnetic switch was used to identify the door condition, whereas a relay module and solenoid door lock controlled the locking mechanism. The system was also equipped with a push button, a 16×2 LCD, an LED indicator, Wi-Fi connectivity, a backend Application Programming Interface, a Supabase database, and a WhatsApp Gateway. System evaluation was conducted through black-box testing, sensor accuracy testing, response-time testing, and end-to-end integration testing. The results showed that all main system functions operated according to the design. A package was detected at a distance of 5 cm or less and remained classified as detected until the distance exceeded 10 cm. The ultrasonic sensor produced an average measurement error of 0.70% within the 5–10 cm range. The average response times were 0.86 seconds for opening the solenoid, 1.87 seconds for package detection, 0.42 seconds for backend communication, and 1.31 seconds for remote commands. WhatsApp notifications were received within an average of 60.84 seconds due to a programmed 60-second delay. Therefore, the developed system was capable of detecting and securing packages, denying access when the box was occupied, recording event histories, and delivering information to the owner through WhatsApp. Keywords: ESP32, Internet of Things, package receiving box, ultrasonic sensor, WhatsApp
