Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) memberikan peluang dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan otomatisasi berbagai aktivitas, termasuk dalam lingkungan pendidikan. Sistem bel sekolah yang masih dilakukan secara manual dapat menyebabkan keterlambatan dan ketidaktepatan dalam pelaksanaan jadwal kegiatan belajar mengajar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem bel sekolah otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang dapat membunyikan bel sesuai jadwal serta memudahkan pengelolaan jadwal secara jarak jauh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D), dengan NodeMCU ESP32 sebagai pengendali utama, RTC DS3231 sebagai sumber waktu, DFPlayer Mini dan speaker sebagai keluaran suara, LCD I2C sebagai media informasi, serta Telegram Bot sebagai sarana pengaturan jadwal dan monitoring. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh komponen dapat bekerja dan terintegrasi dengan baik. Sistem mampu membunyikan bel secara otomatis sesuai jadwal yang ditentukan tanpa keterlambatan yang mengganggu proses pembelajaran. Pengaturan jadwal juga dapat dilakukan melalui Telegram Bot tanpa pemrograman ulang perangkat. Dengan demikian, sistem yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan bel sekolah, mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap pengoperasian manual, serta mendukung ketepatan waktu kegiatan belajar mengajar. Kata kunci : Internet of Things, sistem Bel Sekolah, NodeMCU ESP32, Telegram Bot, Otomatisasi. ============================================ Advancements in Internet of Things (IoT) technology offer opportunities to enhance efficiency and automate various activities, including within educational environments. Manual school bell systems can lead to delays and inaccuracies in the execution of teaching and learning schedules. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop an IoT-based automated school bell system capable of ringing the bell according to a schedule and facilitating remote schedule management. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, utilizing the NodeMCU ESP32 as the main controller, the RTC DS3231 as the time source, the DFPlayer Mini and a speaker for audio output, an I2C LCD for information display, and a Telegram Bot for schedule configuration and monitoring. Testing results demonstrate that all components function and integrate effectively. The system automatically rings the bell according to the designated schedule without delays that would disrupt the learning process. Schedule adjustments can also be made via the Telegram Bot without requiring device reprogramming. Consequently, the developed system improves the efficiency of school bell management, reduces reliance on manual operation, and supports punctuality in teaching and learning activities.
