Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) telah mendorong terciptanya berbagai inovasi pada perangkat sehari-hari, salah satunya adalah celengan digital yang mampu melakukan pencatatan tabungan secara otomatis. Namun, sebagian besar celengan konvensional masih mengharuskan pengguna menghitung jumlah tabungan secara manual serta belum memiliki sistem keamanan dan monitoring yang terintegrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem celengan digital berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mampu mendeteksi nominal uang kertas Rupiah secara otomatis menggunakan sensor warna TCS34725, menerapkan mekanisme keamanan menggunakan Personal Identification Number (PIN), serta menyediakan fitur monitoring melalui WhatsApp Bot. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi tahap perancangan perangkat keras, pengembangan perangkat lunak, implementasi komunikasi data menggunakan protokol Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT), pengembangan server berbasis Node.js pada Virtual Private Server (VPS), serta penyimpanan data menggunakan basis data MySQL. Sistem dibangun menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 yang terintegrasi dengan sensor warna TCS34725, keypad 4×4, LCD 16×2 I2C, relay, solenoid lock, dan buzzer. Monitoring dilakukan melalui WhatsApp Bot yang mampu menampilkan informasi tabungan, riwayat siklus menabung, status sistem, perubahan PIN, serta notifikasi percobaan pembukaan celengan menggunakan PIN yang salah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem berhasil diimplementasikan sesuai dengan rancangan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian terhadap lima nominal uang kertas Rupiah (Rp5.000, Rp10.000, Rp20.000, Rp50.000, dan Rp100.000) dengan total 100 kali percobaan, sensor warna TCS34725 memperoleh tingkat akurasi pembacaan sebesar 80%. Selain itu, sistem keamanan menggunakan PIN berhasil membatasi akses pembukaan celengan hanya kepada pengguna yang berwenang, sedangkan komunikasi data menggunakan MQTT, server Node.js, dan basis data MySQL mampu bekerja secara real-time. Seluruh fitur pada WhatsApp Bot juga berhasil berfungsi dengan baik sebagai media monitoring dan notifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem celengan digital berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang dikembangkan mampu mendeteksi nominal uang secara otomatis, mengelola data tabungan secara real-time, meningkatkan keamanan melalui mekanisme PIN, serta mempermudah pengguna dalam melakukan monitoring tabungan melalui aplikasi WhatsApp. Kata Kunci: Internet of Things (IoT), ESP32, Sensor Warna TCS34725, MQTT, WhatsApp Bot, Celengan Digital ================================================================================================= The rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has encouraged the creation of various innovations in everyday devices, one of which is a digital piggy bank capable of automatically recording savings transactions. However, most conventional piggy banks still require users to manually calculate their savings and do not provide integrated security and monitoring features. This research aims to design and develop an IoT-based digital piggy bank capable of automatically recognizing Indonesian banknote denominations using the TCS34725 color sensor, implementing a Personal Identification Number (PIN)-based security mechanism, and providing a monitoring system through a WhatsApp Bot. The research method consisted of hardware design, software development, implementation of data communication using the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol, development of a Node.js-based server on a Virtual Private Server (VPS), and data storage using a MySQL database. The system was developed using an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a TCS34725 color sensor, a 4×4 keypad, a 16×2 I2C LCD, a relay, a solenoid lock, and a buzzer. Monitoring functions were implemented through a WhatsApp Bot capable of displaying current savings, savings cycle history, system status, PIN modification, and notifications of unauthorized PIN entry attempts. The results indicate that the proposed system was successfully implemented according to the design. Based on testing involving five Indonesian banknote denominations (IDR 5,000, IDR 10,000, IDR 20,000, IDR 50,000, and IDR 100,000) with a total of 100 trials, the TCS34725 color sensor achieved an identification accuracy of 80%. Furthermore, the PIN-based security mechanism successfully restricted unauthorized access to the piggy bank, while MQTT communication, the Node.js server, and the MySQL database operated reliably in real time. In addition, all WhatsApp Bot features functioned properly as a monitoring and notification platform. It can therefore be concluded that the developed IoT-based digital piggy bank is capable of automatically recognizing banknote denominations, managing savings data in real time, improving security through a PIN authentication mechanism, and facilitating user monitoring through the WhatsApp application.
