Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh volume air terhadap jumlah bunga betina serta menentukan volume air yang optimal untuk mendukung pembentukan bunga betina pada tanaman kelapa sawit (*Elaeis guineensis* Jacq.) varietas DXP Lonsum TM 1. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2026 di perkebunan PT. Sinar Pandawa, Desa Perkebunan Sennah, Kecamatan Bilah Hilir, Kabupaten Labuhan Batu, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor perlakuan, yaitu volume air yang terdiri atas enam taraf: V0 = 0, V1 = 2, V2 = 3, V3 = 4, V4 = 5, dan V5 = 6 liter/tanaman. Setiap perlakuan terdiri atas empat ulangan sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan. Parameter yang diamati meliputi jumlah bunga betina dan jantan. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANOVA) pada taraf 5% dan dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT 5% apabila berpengaruh nyata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa volume air berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah bunga betina. Perlakuan V3 menghasilkan rata-rata tertinggi, yaitu 8,25 bunga per tanaman, sedangkan V1 menghasilkan rata-rata terendah, yaitu 4,75 bunga per tanaman. Volume air tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah bunga jantan. Volume air 4 liter/tanaman merupakan perlakuan terbaik dalam mendukung pembentukan bunga betina. Kata kunci : Kelapa Sawit, Volume Air, Bunga Betina, TM 1, DXP Lonsum. ======================================================================== This study aimed to determine the effect of water volume on the number of female flowers and to identify the optimal water volume for supporting female flower formation in oil palm (*Elaeis guineensis* Jacq.) plants of the DXP Lonsum TM 1 variety. The research was conducted from June to August 2026 at the PT. Sinar Pandawa plantation in Perkebunan Sennah Village, Bilah Hilir District, Labuhan Batu Regency, North Sumatra. A Randomized Block Design (RBD) was employed with a single treatment factor—water volume—consisting of six levels: V0 = 0, V1 = 2, V2 = 3, V3 = 4, V4 = 5, and V5 = 6 liters/plant. Each treatment involved four replications, resulting in a total of 24 experimental units. The parameters observed included the number of female and male flowers. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at the 5% significance level, followed by the Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% if significant effects were found. The results indicated that water volume had a significant effect on the number of female flowers. Treatment V3 yielded the highest average (8.25 flowers per plant), while V1 yielded the lowest (4.75 flowers per plant). Water volume did not significantly affect the number of male flowers.
