Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kelompok tani, tingkat pendapatan petani karet, serta hubungan peran kelompok tani terhadap peningkatan pendapatan petani karet di Kelurahan Sirandorung, Kecamatan Rantau Utara, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli Agustus 2026 menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 petani karet yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif, analisis pendapatan usahatani, dan analisis Korelasi Rank Spearman dengan bantuan SPSS versi 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran kelompok tani di Kelurahan Sirandorung tergolong tinggi pada ketiga indikator, yaitu sebagai kelas belajar, wahana kerja sama, dan unit produksi. Kelompok tani berperan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan petani, memperkuat kerja sama antaranggota, mempermudah akses informasi, serta mendukung kegiatan produksi usahatani karet. Analisis pendapatan menunjukkan bahwa usahatani karet masih memberikan pendapatan yang menguntungkan bagi petani setelah dikurangi seluruh biaya produksi. Hasil uji Korelasi Rank Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara peran kelompok tani dengan pendapatan petani karet, sehingga semakin baik peran kelompok tani maka semakin tinggi pula pendapatan yang diperoleh petani. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelompok tani memiliki peran yang penting dalam mendukung peningkatan pendapatan petani karet melalui fungsi pembelajaran, kerja sama, dan pengembangan usaha tani. Oleh karena itu, penguatan kelembagaan kelompok tani perlu terus dilakukan agar produktivitas dan kesejahteraan petani karet di Kelurahan Sirandorung dapat terus meningkat. Kata Kunci: Kelompok tani, pendapatan petani, usahatani karet, Korelasi Rank Spearman, Labuhanbatu ================================================================================================ This study aimed to determine the role of farmer groups, the income level of rubber farmers, and the relationship between the role of farmer groups and the increase in rubber farmers' income in Sirandorung Village, North Rantau District, Labuhanbatu Regency. The research was conducted from July to August 2026 using a survey method with a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 30 rubber farmers who were members of farmer groups. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, and were analyzed using descriptive analysis, farm income analysis, and Spearman Rank Correlation analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 21. The results showed that the role of farmer groups in Sirandorung Village was categorized as high in all three indicators, namely as a learning class, a cooperation forum, and a production unit. Farmer groups played an important role in improving farmers' knowledge, strengthening cooperation among members, facilitating access to information, and supporting rubber farming production activities. The farm income analysis indicated that rubber farming still generated profitable income for farmers after deducting all production costs. Furthermore, the Spearman Rank Correlation analysis revealed a positive and significant relationship between the role of farmer groups and the income of rubber farmers, indicating that the better the role of the farmer groups, the higher the income earned by the farmers. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that farmer groups play an important role in increasing the income of rubber farmers through their functions as learning classes, cooperation forums, and production units. Therefore, strengthening farmer group institutions should continue to be encouraged in order to improve the productivity and welfare of rubber farmers in Sirandorung Village.
