Abstract
Tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq).Merupakan komoditas penting yang produktivitasnya sangat dipengaruhi oleh keberhasilan Fruit Set, sehingga diperlukan upaya peningkatan melalui teknik penyerbukan yang efektif. Rendahnya Fruit Set akibat keterbatasan serangga penyerbuk mendorong penerapan metode Hatch and Carry sebagai solusi peningkatan penyerbukan. Secara teoritis, Fruit Set dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas Elaeidobius kamerunicus sebagai agen penyerbuk utama yang menentukan keberhasilan pembentukan buah. Metode Hatch and Carry dilaporkan mampu meningkatkan populasi penyerbuk dan efektivitas polinasi hingga meningkatkan Fruit Set secara signifikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel 3 tandan (kecil, sedang, besar) pada lahan 127 ha dengan 127 titik aplikasi dan ±20.000 serangga per titik, diamati selama 6 bulan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data menggunakan perhitungan persentase Fruit Set serta uji komparatif dengan nilai signifikansi (Sig.) 0,001 < 0,05. Hasil menunjukkan Fruit Set meningkat dari 21,38%–29,67% menjadi 67,13%–70,41% dengan kenaikan 40,74%–45,75%. Hasil uji menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan (Sig. 0,001) sehingga metode berpengaruh nyata terhadap Fruit Set dan fruit to bunch. Kesimpulannya, metode Hatch and Carry efektif meningkatkan Fruit Set, kualitas tandan, dan produktivitas kelapa sawit secara signifikan dan berkelanjutan. Kata kunci : Elaeidobius Kamerunicus, Fruit Set, Fruit To Bunch, Hatch And Carry, Kelapa Sawit. ================================================================================================== Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is an important commodity whose productivity is greatly influenced by the success of Fruit Set, so that efforts are needed to increase it through effective pollination techniques. Low Fruit Set due to limited pollinating insects encourages the application of the Hatch and Carry method as a solution to increase pollination. Theoretically, Fruit Set is influenced by the activity of Elaeidobius kamerunicus as the main pollinator agent that determines the success of fruit formation. The Hatch and Carry method is reported to be able to increase the pollinator population and pollination effectiveness to significantly increase Fruit Set. This study used a quantitative descriptive experimental method with a sample of 3 bunches (small, medium, large) on 127 ha of land with 127 application points and ± 20,000 insects per point, observed for 6 months before and after treatment. Data analysis used the calculation of the percentage of Fruit Set and a comparative test with a significance value (Sig.) of 0.001 < 0.05. The results showed that Fruit Set increased from 21.38%–29.67% to 67.13%–70.41% with an increase of 40.74%–45.75%. The test results showed a significant increase (Sig. 0.001) so that the method had a significant effect on Fruit Set and fruit to bunch. In conclusion, the Hatch and Carry method is effective in increasing Fruit Set, bunch quality, and oil palm productivity significantly and sustainably.
