Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi dan hasil belajar siswa terhadap penerapan metode Sing a Song pada materi sistem pencernaan di sekolah menengah atas. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi sistem pencernaan yang dianggap kompleks, karena memuat banyak istilah ilmiah dan proses biologis yang berurutan. Selain itu, penggunaan metode pembelajaran konvensional seperti ceramah masih menyebabkan siswa kurang aktif, cepat bosan, dan kurang optimal dalam memahami materi.Metode Sing a Song merupakan salah satu inovasi pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan musik dan lirik lagu ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode ini dirancang untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, serta membantu memperkuat daya ingat terhadap konsep-konsep biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa sekolah menengah atas yang mempelajari materi sistem pencernaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket persepsi siswa dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Sing a Song memperoleh respons positif dari siswa. Siswa merasa lebih tertarik, termotivasi, dan aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu, metode ini juga berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa, yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada materi sistem pencernaan. Dengan demikian, metode Sing a Song efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran biologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : Metode Sing A Song, Hasil Belajar, Sistem Pencernaan ==================================================================================================== This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions and learning outcomes toward the implementation of the Sing a Song method in teaching the human digestive system in senior high school. The background of this research is based on the low level of students’ interest and understanding of the digestive system material, which is considered complex due to the presence of numerous scientific terms and sequential biological processes. In addition, the use of conventional teaching methods such as lectures often results in passive learning, student boredom, and suboptimal comprehension of the material. The Sing a Song method is an innovative teaching approach that integrates music and song lyrics into the learning process. This method is designed to create an enjoyable learning environment, increase student engagement, and enhance memory retention of biological concepts. This research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental research design. The subjects of this study were senior high school students learning about the digestive system. Data were collected through student perception questionnaires and learning outcome tests. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Sing a Song method received positive responses from students. They felt more interested, motivated, and actively involved during the learning process. Furthermore, this method had a positive effect on students’ learning outcomes, as shown by the improvement in conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills regarding the digestive system material. Therefore, the Sing a Song method is effective as an alternative teaching strategy in biology to improve the quality of the learning process and student learning outcomes.
