Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII pada materi Pemanasan Global di SMP Negeri 2 Silangkitang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model PBL dan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS 27 for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. Secara deskriptif, kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari 58,04 menjadi 88,04, sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat dari 50,54 menjadi 73,75. Hasil uji Independent Samples T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05), sehingga hipotesis diterima. Hal ini diperkuat dengan uji N-Gain yang menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mencapai skor N-gain sebesar 71,3% (kategori peningkatan tinggi dan cukup efektif), sementara kelas kontrol hanya sebesar 46,4% (kategori peningkatan sedang dan kurang efektif). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Pemanasan Global. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Hasil Belajar, Pemanasan Global ======================================================================== This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of seventh grade students on Global Warming material at SMP Negeri 2 Silangkitang. This type of research is a quasi experimental study with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that implemented the PBL model and the control class that implemented the conventional learning model. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments, then analyzed using SPSS 27 for Windows software. The results showed a significant difference between the two classes. Descriptively, the experimental class experienced an increase in the average score from 58.04 to 88.04, while the control class increased from 50.54 to 73.75. The results of the Independent Samples T-Test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (<0.05), so the hypothesis was accepted. This is reinforced by the N-Gain test which shows that the experimental class achieved an N-gain score of 71.3% (high improvement and quite effective category), while the control class only achieved 46.4% (moderate improvement and less effective category). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes in the Global Warming material.
