Abstract

Pertanian merupakan sektor penting yang sangat bergantung pada ketersediaan air. Sistem irigasi tradisional sering kali tidak efisien karena penggunaan air yang berlebihan dan kurangnya pengaturan berdasarkan kondisi tanah secara real-time. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem pemantauan dan pengendalian irigasi cerdas berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mampu memantau kelembapan tanah dan mengendalikan pompa air secara otomatis. Sistem ini menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 sebagai pusat kendali, sensor soil moisture untuk mendeteksi kelembapan tanah, serta modul relay dan pompa air sebagai aktuator penyiraman. Aplikasi Blynk digunakan untuk monitoring jarak jauh melalui smartphone. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat mengaktifkan pompa secara otomatis saat kelembapan tanah berada di bawah ambang batas, serta mematikannya kembali ketika kelembapan mencapai kondisi optimal. Dengan demikian, sistem ini dapat membantu menghemat penggunaan air, meningkatkan efisiensi penyiraman, dan mendukung produktivitas pertanian yang lebih berkelanjutan. Traditional irrigation systems are often inefficient due to excessive water use and the lack of regulation based on real-time soil conditions. This research aims to develop a smart irrigation monitoring and control system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that is capable of monitoring soil moisture and automatically controlling the water pump. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller as the central controller, a soil moisture sensor to detect soil humidity, as well as a relay module and a water pump as the irrigation actuator. The Blynk application is employed to enable remote monitoring and control via a smartphone. The implementation results show that the system can automatically activate the pump when soil moisture falls below the threshold and deactivate it when the soil reaches optimal conditions. Thus, this system can help conserve water usage, improve irrigation efficiency, and support more sustainable agricultural productivity.
