Abstract

Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pembelajaran matematika umumnya menitikberatkan pada peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif, sementara kajian empiris yang mengkaji perannya dalam manajemen kelas masih terbatas, khususnya pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan manajemen kelas matematika setelah penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis AI. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen one-group pretest–posttest dengan melibatkan 28 siswa SMP sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket manajemen kelas yang mencakup dimensi keterlibatan siswa, disiplin kelas, dan pengaturan aktivitas pembelajaran, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan paired samples t-test serta perhitungan effect size (Cohen’s d). Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada manajemen kelas setelah intervensi AI, ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan skor pretest (M= 47,71; SD = 7,54) dan posttest (M = 88,54; SD = 7,82), dengan t(27) = −20,81 dan p< 0,001. Nilai Cohen’s d = 3,93 mengindikasikan besaran efek yang sangat besar. Secara ilmiah, penelitian ini memperluas pemahaman mengenai peran AI dalam aspek pedagogis non-kognitif. Secara praktis, temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis AI berpotensi membantu guru matematika SMP dalam menciptakan manajemen kelas yang lebih terstruktur dan kondusif. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Buatan, Media Pembelajaran, Manajemen Kelas, Pembelajaran Matematika, Sekolah Menengah Pertama =========================================================================== The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in mathematics education has predominantly focused on improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes, while empirical studies examining its role in Classroom Management remain limited, particularly at the junior high school level. This study aims to examine changes in mathematics Classroom Management following the implementation of AI-based learning media. A quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed, involving 28 junior high school students as the research sample. Data were collected using a Classroom Management questionnaire covering student engagement, classroom discipline, and activity organization, and were analyzed using a paired samples t-test along with effect size (Cohen’s d) calculation. The results revealed a significant improvement in Classroom Management after the AI intervention, as indicated by differences between pretest scores (M = 47.71; SD = 7.54) and posttest scores (M=88.54; SD=7.82), with t(27)=−20.81 and p< 0.001. The effect size was very large (Cohen’s d=3.93), suggesting that the observed improvement was not only statistically significant but also practically meaningful. Theoretically, this study extends the understanding of AI’s role in supporting non cognitive pedagogical aspects of learning. Practically, the findings indicate that AI-based learning media have the potential to assist junior high school mathematics teachers in creating more structured, responsive, and conducive classroom environments.
