Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis tumbuhan paku (Pteridophyta) yang terdapat di lokasi penelitian serta menganalisis potensi pemanfaatannya sebagai sumber belajar Biologi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan observasi langsung di lapangan. Identifikasi dilakukan berdasarkan karakter morfologi yang meliputi akar, batang (rimpang), daun, serta struktur reproduksi berupa sorus dan spora, serta didukung oleh aplikasi PlantNet sebagai alat bantu identifikasi awal.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan lima jenis tumbuhan paku, yaitu Asplenium nidus, Stenochlaena tenuifolia, Nephrolepis biserrata, Davallia solida, dan Acrostichum aureum. Kelima spesies tersebut menunjukkan variasi morfologi yang jelas, terutama pada tipe daun, struktur rimpang, dan pola sorus seperti linear, bulat, marginal, dan acrostichoid. Selain itu, ditemukan tipe habitat epifit dan terestrial yang menunjukkan kondisi lingkungan yang heterogen dan mendukung pertumbuhan tumbuhan paku.Penggunaan aplikasi PlantNet terbukti cukup efektif dalam membantu identifikasi awal, khususnya pada spesies dengan karakter morfologi yang jelas. Namun, hasil identifikasi tetap perlu diverifikasi melalui pengamatan morfologi secara langsung untuk memastikan keakuratan data.Keanekaragaman tumbuhan paku yang ditemukan memiliki potensi sebagai sumber belajar Biologi, khususnya pada materi Pteridophyta. Variasi morfologi dan habitat memungkinkan peserta didik melakukan pengamatan langsung sehingga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, keterampilan proses sains, serta kesadaran lingkungan. The method used was descriptive with a direct field observation approach. Identification was carried out based on morphological characteristics, including roots, stems (rhizomes), leaves, and reproductive structures such as sori and spores, supported by the PlantNet application as an initial identification tool.The results showed that five fern species were found, namely Asplenium nidus, Stenochlaena tenuifolia, Nephrolepis biserrata, Davallia solida, and Acrostichum aureum. These species exhibited clear morphological variations, particularly in leaf types, rhizome structures, and sori patterns such as linear, round, marginal, and acrostichoid types. In addition, both epiphytic and terrestrial habitats were identified, indicating heterogeneous environmental conditions that support fern growth.The use of the PlantNet application proved to be quite effective in supporting initial identification, especially for species with clear morphological characteristics. However, the identification results still require verification through direct morphological observation to ensure data accuracy.The diversity of ferns found in this study has strong potential as a Biology learning resource, particularly for Pteridophyta material. Morphological and habitat variations allow students to conduct direct observations, thereby enhancing conceptual understanding, science process skills, and environmental awareness.
