Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendefenisikan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik SMA Negeri 2 rantau selatan, penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang dilaksakan melalui pengambilan sampel kepada peserta didik di sekolah SMA negeri 2 rantau selatan pada kelas X, pengumpulan data yaitu Teknik observasi dan angket/kuosioner.Subjek dalam penelitian ada 180 peserta didik yang terdiri kelas X1-X5. Data dianalisis dengan deskriptif presentase per setiap aspek literasi, berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik SMA Negeri 2 rantau selatan Kelas X pada indikator interaksi antara sains, teknologi dan masyarakat 86,42% (Sangat tinggi) indikator pengetahuan sains sebesar 81,96% (Tinggi) indikator sains secara berpikir 68,48 (Sedang) dan indikator penyelidikan hakikat sains 50,36% (Rendah). Keyword: Literasi Sains, SMA Dan Tumbuhan Tingkat Rendah =================================================================================================== Abstract This research aims to define the scientific literacy abilities of students at SMA Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan, this research is a qualitative descriptive research, namely research carried out through sampling of students at SMA Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan in class X, data collection is observation and questionnaire techniques. / questionnaire. The subjects in the research were 180 students consisting of classes X1-X5. The data was analyzed using descriptive percentages per each aspect of literacy, based on the results of the research showing that the scientific literacy abilities of students at SMA Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan Class 96% (High) indicator of science thinking 68.48 (Medium) and indicator of investigating the nature of science 50.36% (Low).
