Abstract

Tanah di perkarangan sebagian besar memiliki kandungan bahan organik, unsur hara. sedikit dan luasannya relatif sempit. Bahan organik dapat dibentuk melalui ekstrak kompos sayur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak kompos dalam memperbaiki ketersediaan hara dan perbaiki sifat kimia tanah pekarangan. Tempat penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rantauprapat, Kecamatan Rantau Selatan, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu. Kota ini berada antara 99o 33’ BT - 100o 22’ BT dan 01o 41’ LU - 02o 44’ LU. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua tahap. Tahap pertama adalah untuk menginvestigasi perbedaan konsentrasi ekstrak kompos menggunakan uji statistik uji t berpasangan pada taraf 5%. Pada tahap kedua menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan sehingga diperoleh 18 satuan percobaan. Ekstrak kompos dengan formulasi berbeda yaitu 1:5 dan 1:10 yang berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian ekstrak kompos menunjukkan bahwa 1:5 mempunyai karakteristik kimia lebih tinggi seperti Ph tanah=6,83%, C-organik=22.5%, N total=0,95%, P-tersedia=0,37%, K-total=8,8%. Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pemberian ekstrak kompos 1:10 dapat meningkatkan unsur hara pada tanah perkarangan dan memberikan hasil terbaik serta menunjukan ketersediaan hara di larutan tanah perkarangan dengan hasil seperti pH=4,92%, C-Organik=4,11%, N total= 16,3%, P-bray=251,37%, K-dd=10.9%,dan KTK=26,34%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa 1:10 lebih direkomendasikan sebagai bahan amelioran tanah, karena 1:10 lebih mudah melepaskan unsur hara. Organic matter can be formed through vegetable compost extract. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of compost extract concentrations in improving nutrient availability on the yard of Inceptisols . The location of this research was conducted at Rantau Prapat, South Rantau, Labuhanbatu Regency. This city is between 99°33' E - 100°22' E and 01°41' N - 02°44' N. This study used two sessions experiment. The first one is investigate difference of concentration of extract compost . this session used dependent t-test on 5% level. The next sessions is of this study used the completely Randomized Design (LRD) smethod with 3 treatments and 18 replications, this study showed that the compost extract with treatment formulation of 1:5 and 1:10 which had a significant effect was continued with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) follow-up test at the 5% level. The results of the compost extract research showed that 1:5 had higher chemical characteristics such as pH=6.83%, C-Organik22.5%, N=0.95%, P=0.37%, K=8.8%. And it can be seen that this study shows that 1:10 application of compost extract can improving nutrients to the cultivated soil the best results and shows the availability of nutrients in the yard with results such as pH = 4.92%,by C-Organic = 4.11%, total-N = 16.3%, P-bray=251.37%, exchangeable P=10.9%, CEC=26.34%.
