Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) dalam pembentukan sikap tanggung jawab siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 3 Marbau, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa guru PPKn berperan penting dalam membentuk sikap tanggung jawab siswa melalui berbagai strategi, seperti pemberian contoh teladan, pengintegrasian nilai-nilai moral dalam pembelajaran, serta pengelolaan lingkungan kelas yang kondusif. Selain itu, penerapan metode diskusi, studi kasus, dan proyek kelompok mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap pentingnya tanggung jawab dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Faktor pendukung keberhasilan meliputi dukungan dari lingkungan sekolah dan kerjasama dengan orang tua. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran guru PPKn dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang bertanggung jawab sebagai bagian dari pendidikan karakter di sekolah. Kata Kunci : Pembentukan Sikap Tanggung Jawab Siswa, Peran Guru ================================================================================================= This research aims to analyze the role of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers in forming attitudes of responsibility for class VIII students at SMP Negeri 3 Marbau, North Labuhanbatu Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method with observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that Civics teachers play an important role in forming students' responsible attitudes through various strategies, such as providing role models, integrating moral values in learning, and managing a conducive classroom environment. Apart from that, the application of discussion methods, case studies and group projects can increase students' understanding of the importance of responsibility in everyday life. Supporting factors for success include support from the school environment and collaboration with parents. This research emphasizes the important role of PPKn teachers in forming responsible student character as part of character education in schools.
