Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi harga pangan berbasis web pada Kabupaten Labuhanbatu dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak waterfall. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah belum optimalnya pengelolaan dan penyebaran informasi harga pangan yang masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya efisiensi, akurasi, dan transparansi informasi. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL untuk mendukung pengelolaan data harga komoditas secara terintegrasi dan real time. Metode waterfall digunakan melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, serta pengujian menggunakan black box testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dibangun mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pengolahan data, mengurangi kesalahan input, serta mempercepat akses informasi bagi masyarakat dan instansi terkait. Selain itu, sistem ini juga mendukung transparansi informasi publik dan pengambilan keputusan oleh pemerintah daerah dalam menjaga stabilitas harga pangan. Kata Kunci : Sistem Informasi, Harga Pangan, Berbasis Web, Waterfall, PHP, MySQL ================================================================================================== This study aims to design and implement a web-based food price information system in Labuhanbatu Regency using the waterfall software development method. The main problem addressed is the suboptimal management and dissemination of food price information, which is still conducted manually, resulting in low efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. The system is developed using PHP programming language and MySQL database to support integrated and real-time management of commodity price data. The waterfall method is applied through several stages, including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing using black box testing. The results indicate that the developed system improves data processing efficiency, reduces input errors, and accelerates information access for both the public and related institutions. Furthermore, the system enhances public information transparency and supports local government decision-making in maintaining food price stability.
