Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Collaborative Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi jamur (fungi) kelas VIII SMP Swasta Tani Jaya Panai Hilir. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya minat dan motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran IPA, penggunaan model pembelajaran yang masih terbatas, serta rendahnya hasil belajar IPA dibandingkan mata pelajaran lain. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan jumlah total 60 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar yang dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov, uji homogenitas, dan uji independent sample t-test dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 24. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data pre-test dan post-test pada kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen adalah 68,72 dan kelas kontrol 69,19, sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen meningkat menjadi 76,44 dan kelas kontrol hanya mencapai 69,44. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitung = 4,925 lebih besar dari ttabel = 1,666 pada taraf signifikan 5%. Dengan demikian, H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran Collaborative Learning terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa pada materi jamur (fungi). Kata kunci: Collaborative Learning, Hasil Belajar, IPA, Jamur (Fungi) =============================================================== This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Collaborative Learning model on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of fungi (mycology) for eighth grade students of SMP Swasta Tani Jaya Panai Hilir. The background of this research is based on the low interest and motivation of students in learning science, the limited use of innovative learning models, and the relatively low achievement in science compared to other subjects. This research employed an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, with a total of 60 students. The research instrument was a learning achievement test, and the data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS version 24. The results showed that the pre-test and post-test data from both classes were normally distributed and homogeneous. The mean score of the experimental class in the pre-test was 68.72, and the control class was 69.19, while the post-test mean score of the experimental class increased to 76.44, and the control class only reached 69.44. The hypothesis testing revealed that the calculated t-value (4.925) was greater than the t-table value (1.666) at the 5% significance level. Therefore, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This finding indicates that the Collaborative Learning model has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes in science, particularly in the topic of fungi.
