Abstract

Penerapan kompetensi pedagogik guru PPKn penting dalam membentuk nilai karakter siswa, khususnya nilai jujur dan tanggung jawab dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan kompetensi pedagogik guru PPKn dalam membentuk nilai karakter jujur dan tanggung jawab siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan menggambarkan secara langsung dan mendalam penerapan kompetensi pedagogik guru PPKn dalam membentuk karakter siswa berdasarkan kondisi yang ditemukan di lapangan. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, dan guru PPKn, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumen dan data sekolah yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PPKn menerapkan kompetensi pedagogik melalui kegiatan belajar yang mendidik serta penilaian dan evaluasi. Dalam proses pembelajaran, guru membiasakan siswa untuk bersikap jujur dan bertanggung jawab melalui keteladanan, diskusi, tanya jawab, presentasi, pemberian tugas, serta pengamatan terhadap sikap siswa. Penilaian dilakukan dengan melihat kejujuran, kesungguhan, kedisiplinan, keaktifan, dan tanggung jawab siswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Meskipun masih terdapat siswa yang memerlukan arahan dan pengingat dari guru, penerapan kompetensi pedagogik guru PPKn telah berperan dalam membentuk nilai karakter jujur dan tanggung jawab siswa. Kata kunci: Kompetensi Pedagogik, Guru PPKn, Nilai Karakter, Jujur, Tanggung Jawab =================================================== The implementation of PPKn teachers’ pedagogical competence is important in shaping students’ character values, particularly honesty and responsibility during the learning process. This study aimed to describe the implementation of PPKn teachers’ pedagogical competence in shaping the character values of honesty and responsibility among Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach that aimed to describe directly and comprehensively the implementation of PPKn teachers’ pedagogical competence in shaping students’ character based on the conditions found in the field. Primary data were obtained through interviews and observations with the principal, vice principal for curriculum affairs, and PPKn teacher, while secondary data were obtained from school documents and data related to the research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the PPKn teacher implemented pedagogical competence through educational learning activities as well as assessment and evaluation. During the learning process, the teacher encouraged students to develop honesty and responsibility through exemplary behavior, discussions, question-and-answer activities, presentations, assignments, and observation of students’ attitudes. Assessment was conducted by observing students’ honesty, seriousness, discipline, participation, and responsibility in completing assignments. Although some students still required guidance and reminders from the teacher, the implementation of the PPKn teacher’s pedagogical competence has contributed to shaping students’ character values of honesty and responsibility.
