Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi Ekologi dan Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia di kelas X SMA Swasta Kemala Bhayangkari 02 Rantauprapat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dan desain Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X, dengan sampel dua kelas yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 40 soal yang diberikan dalam bentuk pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent Sample t-Test, serta perhitungan effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model PBL dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Nilai rata-rata posttest pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran PBL berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Ekologi dan Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia. Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Kurikulum Merdeka, Hasil Belajar, Ekologi, Keanekaragaman Hayati ================================================================================================ This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on the Merdeka Curriculum on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of Ecology and Indonesian Biodiversity in grade X of SMA Swasta Kemala Bhayangkari 02 Rantauprapat. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all grade X students, while the sample included two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, selected using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test consisting of 40 questions administered as pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample t-Test, as well as effect size calculation. The results showed that there was an improvement in students’ learning outcomes in the experimental class taught using the PBL model compared to the control class taught using conventional learning. The average posttest score of the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The hypothesis test result indicated a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on the Merdeka Curriculum on students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, the PBL model based on the Merdeka Curriculum is proven to be effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in Ecology and Indonesian Biodiversity.
