Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK swasta pemda rantauprapat, jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang menghasilkan gambaran data berupa kata-kata lisan maupun tertulis dari informan kunci dan narasumber yang diwawancarai. sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder, sumber data primer terdiri dari wakil kepala sekolah dan guru sedangkan sumber data sekunder terdiri dari UU No 14 Tahun 2005 dan jurnal ilmiah, Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa pedoman wawancara dan lembar observasi. Analisis data adalah analisis data kualitatif sesuai dengan konsep miles dan huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan wakil kepala sekolah dan guru, diperoleh hasil bahwa guru memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Guru tidak hanya berperan sebagai pengajar yang menyampaikan materi, tetapi juga sebagai fasilitator yang mengarahkan proses pembelajaran, pembimbing yang memberikan pendampingan kepada siswa, motivator yang mendorong keaktifan siswa, serta evaluator yang melakukan penilaian terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dalam pelaksanaannya, guru menggunakan berbagai metode pembelajaran seperti diskusi kelompok, tugas proyek, serta kegiatan presentasi untuk meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Namun, dalam penerapannya masih terdapat beberapa tantangan, terutama dari ketidaksiapan siswa yang belum sepenuhnya terbiasa dengan konsep pembelajaran yang menuntut kemandirian dan keaktifan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka di SMKS Pemda Rantauprapat telah berjalan dengan baik, namun masih memerlukan penyesuaian terutama dalam meningkatkan kesiapan dan keaktifan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. kata kunci: Analisis, Peran Guru, Penerapan, Kurikulum Merdeka ================================================================================================= This study aims to determine the role of teachers in implementing the independent curriculum. This research was conducted at a private vocational school in the Rantauprapat regional government. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive approach that produces data descriptions in the form of spoken and written words from key informants and interviewed sources. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources, primary data sources consist of vice principals and teachers while secondary data sources consist of Law No. 14 of 2005 and scientific journals. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments are in the form of interview guidelines and observation sheets. Data analysis is qualitative data analysis in accordance with the concepts of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of interviews with the vice principal and teachers, it was found that teachers have a very important role in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. Teachers not only act as teachers who deliver material, but also as facilitators who direct the learning process, mentors who provide assistance to students, motivators who encourage student activity, and evaluators who assess student learning outcomes. In practice, teachers use various learning methods such as group discussions, project assignments, and presentations to increase student engagement. However, several challenges remain, primarily stemming from students' lack of preparedness, as they are not yet fully accustomed to learning concepts that require independence and active participation. The research concludes that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SMKS Pemda Rantauprapat has been successful, but adjustments are still needed, particularly to improve student readiness and engagement in the learning process.
